PHIL WHITMAN INSTRUCTOR / PLAYER DEVELOPMENT Phil has been involved in baseball in all the major fields, playing, coaching, scouting, and business. He played his college career at Rider University, as a pitcher. After college, Phil began working on the business side of the game, working for a sports management company which represented baseball players from across the country. His main focus was to scout high school and college players from all areas of the country. In addition, Phil began working with Tom House and the National Pitching Association. In 2006, became the pitching coach at Caldwell College ('06 and '07 seasons). 2007 season, CACC League Champions, NCAA Regional (second in school history), and lead CACC Conference in ERA. Phil has been coaching and instructing for 8 years at all levels. FRED DEFRANCE INSTRUCTOR / PLAYER DEVELOPMENT Fred, a switch hitting catcher, played for #1 high school baseball program in New Jersey, Seton Hall Prep HS. A two year letter winner under Kevin Murray at Parsippany Hills HS. Fred's junior year was named honorable mention, all county, all conference and all area. Continueing his senior year, was named 3rd team all state, and 2nd team all county and all area. After high school Fred was invited to two pro baseball combines in Scottsdale, AZ and attened several Major League Tryouts. 2008, initially a 17th round draft pick to the Kansas City Royals, only to be hindered by an arm injury. Fred has worked with former major leaguers as, Craig Biggio, Jon Valentin, Victor Hall, and Rafeal Nocchione, who have been instrumental in every aspect of the game. Fred is a hitting instuctor, as well as a catching instructor. |
